CSSC shipping appoints Baker Tilly as new auditor

CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited will appoint Baker Tilly Hong Kong Limited as its new auditor, effective November 27, 2025. This follows the resignation of Grant Thornton Hong Kong Limited on the same date, due to an inability to reach a consensus on audit fees for the financial year ending December 31, 2025. Baker Tilly will hold office until the conclusion of the company's next annual general meeting.

The company's board and audit committee confirmed that, apart from the audit fee dispute, there were no other disagreements or circumstances requiring disclosure regarding Grant Thornton's resignation. The audit committee evaluated several factors in appointing Baker Tilly, including experience, resources, independence, reputation, and adherence to regulatory guidelines, with the aim of enhancing cost-effectiveness.

As Grant Thornton had not commenced any audit work for the 2025 financial year, the board and audit committee believe the change will not impact the 2025 audit. The board expressed gratitude to Grant Thornton for its past services and extended a warm welcome to Baker Tilly.
