China Datang renewable power sees October generation drop, photovoltaic output surges

China Datang Corporation Renewable Power Co. Limited announced a consolidated power generation of 2,334,647 MWh for October 2025, a 14.39% decrease from October 2024. This decline was primarily driven by a 19.32% drop in wind power generation, which totaled 1,978,668 MWh. In contrast, photovoltaic power generation surged by 29.59% to 355,979 MWh for the month.

For the year-to-date period ending October 31, 2025, the group's total power generation reached 28,225,250 MWh, an increase of 8.94% over the same period in 2024. Wind power generation contributed 23,819,226 MWh, up 4.53%, while photovoltaic power generation showed robust growth of 41.11%, amounting to 4,406,024 MWh.

Geographically, several regions reported significant changes in October 2025. Wind power in Jiangsu decreased by 49.09%, and Inner Mongolia saw a 35.75% reduction. However, Chongqing's wind power generation soared by 108.92%. For photovoltaic power, Shandong experienced an exceptional 938.51% increase, and Shanxi grew by 447.26% compared to October 2024. Starting from October 2025, wind power projects in Shanghai are no longer included in the company's power generation figures due to adjustments in consolidated statements.
