Newton Resources independent director resigns from board

Mr. Shin Yick, Fabian, an independent non-executive director of Newton Resources Ltd, has tendered his resignation effective November 20, 2025. Mr. Shin is also stepping down from the audit, nomination, and remuneration committees of the board. His resignation is attributed to his desire to devote more time to other personal commitments.

Mr. Shin has confirmed that there are no disagreements with the board, and no matters related to his resignation need to be brought to the attention of the company's shareholders or The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited. The board has expressed its appreciation for Mr. Shin's contributions to the group during his tenure.

Following Mr. Shin's resignation, the executive directors of Newton Resources are Mr. Chong Tin Lung, Benny (who is also chairman and executive director), and Mr. Lam Chun Kit. The non-executive director is Mr. Chen Hongyuan, while the independent non-executive directors are Mr. Tsui King Fai, Mr. Lee Kwan Hung, Eddie, and Ms. Hang Qingli.
