China Isotope secures first Latin American irradiation equipment export to Peru

China Isotope & Radiation Corporation (CIRC) announced its first export of self-produced irradiation equipment to the Latin American market. On November 17, 2025, CIRC officially signed a contract with a Peruvian client in Lima for the Agricultural Gamma Irradiation Station Project.

Under the agreement, CIRC will provide professional gamma irradiation devices and a complete solution for supporting cobalt sources. This project is intended to enhance the sterilization, shelf life, export quality, and market competitiveness of Peruvian specialty agricultural products. CIRC highlights this as a "small yet sophisticated" nuclear technology application, aligned with the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the International Atomic Energy Agency's (IAEA) "Atoms for Food" initiative, promoting food security and sustainable agricultural development.

The company expects this project to foster deeper cooperation between China and Peru in nuclear technology and create new opportunities for China's nuclear technology to expand globally. The board, comprising Mr. Xiao Yafei as chairman, made this voluntary announcement to inform shareholders and potential investors of these business developments.
