Cosco Shipping Energy proposes new non-executive director

Cosco Shipping Energy Transportation announced a proposal to appoint Ma Yuanru as a non-executive director. Ma, born in July 1973, holds a master's degree in business administration from Tsinghua University.

She currently serves as general manager of China Reform Development Investment Management Co. Ltd., and holds directorships at China Reform Securities Co. Ltd., CECEP Environmental Protection Co. Ltd., and Huaneng Renewables Corporation Limited. Her previous roles included deputy general manager of the NPA investment department of Bank of China Group Investment Limited, general manager of Guangzhou Yinhui Assets Service Co. Ltd., and deputy general manager of Bank of China Cinda Asset Management Co. Ltd.

Her appointment, if approved by shareholders, will run until the end of the current Board session. She will not receive any remuneration from the company for this role.

As of the announcement date, Ma has no other directorships in listed public companies in the last three years, nor does she hold any other positions within the Group. The company will dispatch a circular and notice for the shareholders' meeting in due course to address this proposed appointment.
