CGN Power begins construction of Zhaoyuan unit 1 nuclear reactor

CGN Power Co., Ltd. announced today that Zhaoyuan Unit 1 of Shandong Zhaoyuan Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., a subsidiary, will achieve its first concrete date (FCD) for the main plant of the nuclear reactor on November 18, 2025. This marks the immediate commencement of full-scale construction for Zhaoyuan Unit 1 and the initiation of its civil construction phase.

Zhaoyuan Unit 1 will utilize HPR1000 nuclear power technology, boasting a robust capacity of 1,214MW for its single unit. The board of directors comprises Mr. Gao Ligang (executive director); Mr. Yang Changli, Ms. Li Li, Mr. Pang Songtao, Mr. Feng Jian, and Mr. Liu Huanbing (non-executive directors); and Mr. Wong Ming Fung, Mr. Li Fuyou, and Ms. Xu Hua (independent non-executive directors).
