Jacobio appoints Dr. Andrea Wang-Gillam as co-chief executive

Jacobio Pharmaceuticals Group Co., Ltd. (Jacobio) has appointed Dr. Andrea Wang-Gillam, the current chief medical officer (CMO), as co-chief executive officer, effective November 12, 2025. This move aims to enhance the group's global strategic deployment and cross-regional operational efficiency. Dr. Wang-Gillam, 55, has served as CMO and senior vice president since July 2020, was promoted to executive vice president in 2022, and became global head of research and development in 2024.

Dr. Wang-Gillam brings over 20 years of experience in oncology clinical research and development, with a deep understanding of international pharmaceutical markets and regulatory environments. Her extensive background includes serving as an oncologist in the United States, overseeing numerous clinical trials for anti-tumor drugs, and leadership roles at Washington University in St. Louis. She holds a bachelor's degree in biology, and both an M.D. and Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology.

Under the new co-CEO structure, Dr. Wang-Gillam will be primarily responsible for business development and operational management in global markets, fostering international collaborations, and accelerating the development and commercialization of innovative drugs. Dr. Wang Yinxiang, the founder and current chief executive, will serve as the other co-CEO, focusing on overall strategic planning and R&D framework oversight. Dr. Wang-Gillam's service agreement takes effect from November 13, 2025, for an initial three-year term, with an annual base salary of $560,000. She currently holds 5,000,000 share options in the company.
