GAC Group sees mixed october: overall decline, NEV production up

Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. Ltd. (GAC Group) reported total production of 154,095 units in October 2025, an 8.30% year-on-year decrease. Accumulated production for 2025 reached 1,391,666 units, down 7.33% year-on-year. Sales volume for October 2025 stood at 170,731 units, an 8.10% year-on-year decrease, with accumulated sales for 2025 totaling 1,354,384 units, a 10.94% year-on-year decline.

Several key subsidiaries showed varying performances. GAC Honda Automobile Co. Ltd. saw production decrease by 13.64% in October and sales drop by 15.81%. GAC Toyota Motor Co. Ltd. experienced an 18.85% decrease in October production but a 0.71% increase in sales. GAC Motor Co. Ltd. reported a significant 34.07% increase in October production, while GAC AION New Energy Automobile Co. Ltd. faced an 18.78% decline in October production and a 26.09% drop in sales.

New energy vehicle production, however, increased by 18.03% in October to 44,025 units, with sales up 4.95% to 46,964 units. Passenger vehicle production was down 8.41% in October, while commercial vehicle production saw a substantial 224.32% increase.
