Chalco names new chairman, general manager effective November 2025

Aluminum Corporation of China Limited (CHALCO) announced significant leadership changes, with He Wenjian elected chairman of the ninth session of the Board, effective November 6, 2025. Mr. He, already an executive director, will serve until the expiry of the ninth session's term.

Concurrently, Mr. He resigned from his role as general manager due to work requirements, also effective November 6, 2025. He will continue to serve as chairman and on several Board committees. The board acknowledged Mr. He's significant contributions during his tenure as general manager.

Following Mr. He's resignation, the Board approved the appointment of Zhang Ruizhong, 53, as the new general manager, effective November 6, 2025. Mr. Zhang brings extensive experience in non-ferrous metal smelting, alloy technology, and corporate management, having previously held various leadership roles within Baotou Aluminum (Group) Co., Ltd. and Shandong Huayu Aluminium Electricity Co., Ltd., among others. He currently holds 147,100 A shares of the company.
