BYD sees mixed production and sales in October 2025

BYD Company Limited announced its production and sales volumes for October 2025. Total new energy vehicle production reached 429,808 units, a 10.50% year-on-year increase. Sales of new energy vehicles totaled 441,706 units, marking a 13.88% year-on-year rise. Passenger vehicle production increased by 9.51% to 424,174 units, with sales up 12.94% to 436,856 units.

Within passenger vehicles, battery electric vehicle production soared by 30.32% year-on-year to 219,382 units, and sales increased by 34.53% to 222,559 units. However, plug-in hybrid electric vehicle production declined by 5.57% to 204,792 units, and sales fell by 2.69% compared to October 2024.

Commercial vehicle production saw a substantial year-on-year increase of 250.88% to 5,634 units, while sales rose by 239.10% to 4,850 units. The export volume of new energy vehicles for October 2025 was 83,904 units. The installed capacity of NEV power battery and energy storage battery for the month was approximately 27.362 GWh, with a cumulative installed capacity of approximately 230.613 GWh for the year 2025.
