Agricultural Bank of China appoints new independent director

Agricultural Bank of China Limited announced the appointment of Ms. Wong Pui Sze Priscilla as an independent non-executive director. Her qualification was ratified by the National Financial Regulatory Administration (Jin Fu [2025] No. 605). Ms. Wong was elected at the bank's 2024 annual general meeting on June 27, 2025, and subsequently elected as a member of several key committees, including the audit committee and the risk management and consumers' interests protection committee. She also joins the risk management committee of institutions in the United States regions, and the related party transactions management committee.

This appointment follows the departure of Ms. Leung Ko May Yee, Margaret, who ceased to serve as an independent non-executive director due to the expiry of her term of office. Ms. Leung also stepped down from various committee memberships, including the chairmanship of the related party transactions management committee. She confirmed no disagreement with the board regarding her departure.

The board of directors expressed gratitude to Ms. Leung Ko May Yee, Margaret, for her contributions to the bank during her tenure. The effective date of Ms. Wong's appointment to the board and committees was October 28, 2025.
