China Southern Airlines announces executive and chief pilot changes

China Southern Airlines Company Limited announced the resignation of Mr. Gao Fei as a candidate for executive director, effective October 27, 2025. This change stems from a realignment of work arrangements, and the resolution for his appointment will not be presented at the company's general meeting. Mr. Gao confirmed no disagreements with the board or the company regarding his departure.

In a related announcement, the company also detailed several senior management changes. Mr. Chen Zhe has been appointed executive vice president and will cease to be chief pilot, while Mr. Zhang Yong has been appointed executive vice president, and Mr. Yu Ming Liang will assume the role of chief pilot. These appointments and Mr. Gao Fei ceasing to be an executive vice president due to a work arrangement change are effective for a term consistent with the current session of the board.

The board expressed sincere appreciation to Mr. Gao Fei for his significant contributions during his tenure. As of the announcement date, the board includes executive directors Ma Xu Lun and Han Wen Sheng, alongside independent non-executive directors Pansy Catilina Chiu King Ho, Guo Wei, Zhang Jun Sheng, and Zhu Hai Ping.
