China Nonferrous Mining reports strong production growth, higher profits

China Nonferrous Mining Corporation Limited anticipates a profit attributable to owners of approximately $356 million for the nine months ended 30 September 2025, marking a 13% year-on-year increase. This growth is primarily attributed to rising global copper prices and increased copper cathode output.

Total copper cathodes produced by the Group, including processing services, reached approximately 107,663 tonnes, up 12% year-on-year, completing 77% of annual guidance. Blister copper and copper anodes also saw a 7% year-on-year increase to approximately 307,573 tonnes, meeting 77% of guidance. Sulfuric acid production rose 2% year-on-year to 788,339 tonnes.

Conversely, liquid sulphur dioxide production saw a notable decrease of approximately 90% year-on-year to 1,442 tonnes, primarily due to DRC restrictions on cobalt product exports. Cobalt contained in cobalt hydroxide also decreased by 12% year-on-year to 676 tonnes, completing 75% of guidance.
