MMG reports strong third quarter copper and zinc production

MMG Limited announced a significant increase in total copper production, including concentrate and cathode, reaching 127,030 tonnes for the third quarter of 2025, an 11% rise year-on-year. Total zinc production also climbed by 26% to 58,747 tonnes. Las Bambas, a major contributor, delivered 102,875 tonnes of copper in concentrate, up 14% from the prior year. Kinsevere's copper cathode production increased by 14% to 14,794 tonnes, driven by its expansion project ramp-up, despite power supply challenges.

Dugald River saw a 38% increase in zinc in concentrate production, reaching 48,132 tonnes, attributed to strong mining and plant recovery. Conversely, Khoemacau's copper production decreased by 16% to 9,084 tonnes, affected by a mining contractor transition, while Rosebery’s zinc production was down 8% to 10,615 tonnes due to lower ore grades. The company also reported a net profit after tax of $566.3m for the first half of 2025.

MMG completed the issuance of $500m zero-coupon convertible bonds, with net proceeds of approximately $494m, aimed at refinancing existing debt. The company also received $429.3m from a dividend distribution, earmarked for debt repayment. Las Bambas is now expected to achieve 400,000 tonnes of copper production for the full year 2025.
