China Power International Development names Wang Zichao chairman

China Power International Development Limited announced the appointment of Wang Zichao as an executive director, chairman of the board, and authorized representative, effective October 17, 2025. Wang succeeds He Xi, who resigned from these positions due to work arrangement adjustments. Additionally, Wang will assume the chairmanship of the Risk Management Committee, Strategic and Sustainable Development Committee, and Executive Committee.

Wang, 55, brings extensive experience from the power industry, having previously served as a non-executive director and executive director for the company. He is currently the chairman of China Power International Holding Limited, the immediate holding company. His annual pre-tax basic salary is RMB400,000, along with discretionary performance-related bonuses and tenure incentives, subject to review by the Remuneration and Nomination Committee.

The board expressed gratitude to He Xi for his valuable contributions. The Remuneration and Nomination Committee reviewed and endorsed Wang’s appointment, noting his experience and familiarity with the power market in the PRC. The updated list of directors and their committee roles confirms Wang as chairman of the Audit, Risk Management, Strategic and Sustainable Development, and Executive Committees.
