Prudential announces share buyback and scrip dividend share listing

Prudential plc announced it repurchased 283,185 ordinary shares from Merrill Lynch International on 14 October 2025 at an average price of £10.1677 per share. The shares, acquired via the London Stock Exchange, will be cancelled, reducing the total number of shares in issue to 2,562,467,970. This transaction aligns with authority granted by shareholders at the 2025 annual general meeting.

In a separate but related announcement, Prudential plc applied for the listing of 2,175,535 new ordinary shares, expected to be admitted on 16 October 2025. These shares, including 16,166 shares for a dealing facility for UK shareholders, are issued in connection with the scrip dividend alternative for the 2025 first interim dividend and will rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares.
