CGN Power reports strong generation growth, operational milestones in Q3 2025

CGN Power Co., Ltd. reported total power generation of approximately 182,821.72 GWh from January to September 2025, a 2.67% year-on-year increase. On-grid power generation also rose, reaching approximately 172,178.69 GWh, a 3.17% increase over the same period in 2024. Daya Bay Nuclear Power Station notably contributed to this growth, with power generation up 21.35% and on-grid generation up 21.9%.

Operationally, the group completed four annual refuelling outages and one initial refuelling outage in Q3 2025. As of September 30, 2025, the group managed 20 nuclear power generating units under construction, with four in the commissioning phase. Key milestones included Lufeng Unit 6 completing its dome lifting, Huizhou Unit 2 completing its hot functional test, and Cangnan Unit 2 commencing its cold functional test.

In July 2025, the company completed the issuance and listing of A-share convertible corporate bonds, raising RMB4.9 bn. These proceeds were primarily used to swap self-raised funds for pre-investment projects at Lufeng Units 5 and 6. Additionally, the board approved the acquisition of equity interests in four companies, including CGN Huizhou Nuclear Power Co., Ltd., from China General Nuclear Power Corporation.
