Sunny Optical sees strong growth in handset camera module shipments

Sunny Optical Technology (Group) Company Limited reported a substantial 32.0% year-on-year (YoY) increase in handset camera module shipments for September 2025, reaching 48,524 thousand units. This also represents a 15.3% month-on-month (MoM) rise, primarily attributed to increased customer demand. Vehicle lens sets also saw robust growth, with shipments increasing by 25.2% YoY and 15.8% MoM to 11,660 thousand units, partly due to delayed August shipments fulfilling September requests.

Handset lens sets experienced a modest 1.9% MoM increase, totaling 117,504 thousand units, despite a 1.0% YoY decline. Other lens sets showed a strong 27.4% MoM growth, reaching 11,566 thousand units, though marking a 20.6% YoY decrease. Spherical glass lenses also saw a 3.8% YoY increase in shipments to 2,839 thousand units.

In contrast, microscopic instrument shipments declined by 15.8% YoY and 21.0% MoM, totaling 15,991 units. Other optoelectronic products recorded a 12.6% MoM increase to 6,422 thousand units, but a 12.2% YoY decrease.
