Guangzhou Automobile sees mixed September 2025 performance amid declining sales

Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. announced mixed production and sales volumes for September 2025. Production for September 2025 rose 11.17% year-on-year to 179,178 units. However, accumulated production for 2025 decreased 7.21% year-on-year to 1,237,571 units. Sales volume for September 2025 was 173,176 units, down 5.17% year-on-year, and accumulated sales for 2025 totaled 1,183,653 units, an 11.34% year-on-year decrease.

Key subsidiaries showed varied results. GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. saw a 24.86% monthly production increase and a 6.20% increase in accumulated production year-on-year. In contrast, GAC Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. experienced a 2.52% monthly production decrease and a substantial 14.79% decline in accumulated production.

New energy vehicles within the group reported a 28.33% increase in monthly production, reaching 41,820 units, and a 1.97% rise in accumulated production year-on-year. However, sales of new energy vehicles saw a 9.24% decrease for the month and a 4.99% decline in accumulated sales. Commercial vehicles, a smaller segment, showed an 822.45% increase in monthly production and a 708.00% surge in accumulated production year-on-year.
