BYD sees significant production and sales growth in September 2025

BYD Company Limited announced a strong performance in September 2025, with new energy vehicle production reaching 405,554 units and sales totaling 396,270 units. This represents a year-on-year production increase of 16.40% and a sales increase of 18.64% compared to September 2024. For the year-to-date, new energy vehicle production hit 3,213,569 units and sales reached 3,260,146 units, reflecting significant growth.

Passenger vehicle sales grew by 17.63% year-on-year to 393,060 units in September 2025. This was driven by battery electric vehicles, which saw a 37.31% year-on-year sales increase to 205,050 units, and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles with a 2.94% increase to 188,010 units. Commercial vehicle sales also surged, reaching 3,210 units in September 2025, a 259.80% year-on-year increase.

BYD exported 71,256 new energy vehicles in September 2025, and its installed power battery capacity for the month was approximately 23.200 GWh, with a cumulative installed capacity of 203.251 GWh for the year.
