China Railway Construction secures RMB6.3 bn in major projects

China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC) recently announced securing 14 major projects totaling RMB6.3 billion in new contracts. These projects represent 5.91% of the company's audited operating income for 2024. The largest individual contract, valued at RMB104.20 million, is for the general contract for the construction of sections CGJXZQ-2, CGJXZQ-7, CGJXZQ-8 and CGJXZQ-10 of the Jiangxi section of the newly-built Changsha-Ganzhou High-speed Railway.

Notable wins include a RMB88.51 million project for the revitalization of Tanzania-Zambia Railway, with an approximate duration of 3 years, and a RMB81.12 million King Saud University (KSU) Utilities and Facilities Relocation project. Other significant projects encompass railway, highway, and university infrastructure construction across China, including segments of high-speed railways and urban development.

The projects vary in construction period, with some extending over 2,000 calendar days. The Nanjing Shangyuanmen River-Crossing Passage and related works, valued at RMB49.30 million, has a construction period of 2,191 calendar days.
