Inkeverse profit doubles to 274m yuan despite revenue decline

Inkeverse Group Limited reported a significant increase in profit for the six months ended 30 June 2025, with profit for the period rising by 102.8% to 273.979 million yuan, up from 135.115 million yuan in the corresponding period of 2024. This growth occurred despite a 24.2% decrease in revenue to 2,677.543 million yuan, attributed to strategic adjustments and innovative business lines in early development. The company’s gross profit also decreased by 23.1% to 1,276.962 million yuan, though the gross profit margin remained stable at approximately 47.7%.

Operational highlights show average monthly active users (MAUs) decreased by 16.1% to 20,185 thousand, while average monthly revenue per user (ARPU) fell by 9.8% to 22.1 yuan. However, the company’s operating profit surged by 170.2% to 369.356 million yuan. Non-IFRSs adjusted net profit also saw a 92.0% increase to 281.277 million yuan. The Group’s cash and cash equivalents stood at 1,690.185 million yuan as of 30 June 2025.

The increase in profit before income tax by 115.0% to 335.208 million yuan was primarily driven by a substantial increase in other gains, net, which changed from a net loss of 18.527 million yuan in 2024 to a net gain of 297.206 million yuan in 2025, largely due to fair value increases in financial assets. The company will continue to deepen its strategic layout in overseas markets and explore AI technology applications across various business scenarios.
