Shandong Hi-Speed New Energy sees mixed August, strong year-to-date power generation

Shandong Hi-Speed New Energy Group Limited announced preliminary power generation statistics for August 2025, reporting approximately 526,707 MWh. This represents a 2.4% decrease compared to August 2024. However, aggregate operating power generation for the first eight months ended August 31, 2025, rose by approximately 6.3% from the corresponding period in 2024, reaching 4,815,272 MWh.

The company's centralised photovoltaic power plants generated 270,604 MWh in August 2025, an 8.1% decrease from August 2024. For the eight-month period, these plants saw a 2.9% decrease, totaling 1,998,266 MWh. Conversely, wind power plants generated 145,028 MWh in August 2025, a 7.6% decrease year-on-year. Yet, the year-to-date aggregate for wind power plants showed a robust 9.5% increase, reaching 2,064,842 MWh.

Geographically, while most provinces experienced decreases in photovoltaic power generation in August 2025, Shaanxi and Shanxi provinces notably recorded increases of 36.5% and 32.0%, respectively. Henan province's wind power generation also increased by 13.6% year-to-date, offsetting some broader declines.
