Hebei Construction Group posts significant revenue, profit decline in first half 2025

Hebei Construction Group Corporation Limited reported its interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2025, revealing a substantial decrease in key financial metrics. Revenue amounted to RMB7,908m, a 28% reduction from RMB11,015m in the corresponding period of 2024. Net profit also fell by 21% to RMB95m, down from RMB120m in the first half of 2024. Earnings per share decreased by 14% to RMB0.06.

The decline was primarily driven by a RMB3,174m decrease in the construction contracting business, attributed to the completion of major projects and a reduction in new contract values. New contract value across all segments for the first half of 2025 was RMB8,039m, a 42.41% drop from RMB13,960m in the same period last year.

General and administrative expenses decreased by RMB89.77m to RMB122m, while credit impairment losses increased by RMB15m to RMB92m due to provisions for bad debts. The Group maintained a current ratio of 1.10 times and a gearing ratio of 91.5% as of June 30, 2025.
