Yuhua Education addresses for-profit university registration rumours

China Yuhua Education Corporation Limited announced that its Hunan International Economics University (HIEU) recently received government approval to apply for registration as a for-profit private school. However, the company emphasized that this approval only signifies the commencement of the registration process, which is complicated, time-consuming, highly uncertain, and without guaranteed completion.

The company issued this clarification in response to online rumours and unusual movements in its share price on the stock exchange on September 12, 2025. The board affirmed that the company remains in normal operation and is unaffected by these developments, stating it is not aware of any other matter relevant to the price movements or any unannounced inside information.

Shareholders and potential investors are advised to exercise caution when dealing in the company's shares. This announcement was made by order of the board, which includes executive directors Mr. Li Guangyu, Ms. Li Hua, and Ms. Qiu Hongjun, and independent non-executive directors Mr. Chen Lei, Mr. Zhang Zhixue, and Ms. Fan Nannan.
