Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group’s half-year profit drops 35.58%

For the six months ended June 30, 2025, Beijing Urban Construction Design & Development Group Co. Limited reported a net profit of RMB239 million, a 35.58% decrease from RMB371 million in the corresponding period of 2024. Revenue also fell by 14.19% to RMB3,586 million, down from RMB4,179 million, primarily due to reduced commencement volume for construction projects. Gross profit for the period was RMB693 million, a 14.97% decrease year-on-year, with the consolidated gross margin slightly declining to 19.32% from 19.51%.

Operating costs decreased by 14.00% to RMB2,893 million, and selling expenses were down 6.73% to RMB26.75 million. However, impairment losses on financial assets and contract assets increased by 44.55% to RMB75.83 million, mainly due to an increase in long-aged contract assets. Net cash outflows from operating activities amounted to RMB1,039,803,000, and from investing activities were RMB24,416,000.

The company’s total interest-bearing borrowings as of June 30, 2025, were RMB6.658 billion, resulting in a gearing ratio of 82.99%. The board does not recommend an interim dividend for the six months ended June 30, 2025.
