Prudential: Further Share Reduction Expected After Buyback

Prudential Plc announced a decrease of 6,096,503 in its total number of issued ordinary shares for the month ended August 31, 2025. The total number of issued shares at the close of the month stood at 2,572,250,983, down from 2,578,347,486 at the close of the preceding month. This reduction primarily reflects share repurchases for cancellation.

The company repurchased 6,096,503 ordinary shares throughout August 2025. Additionally, 626,597 shares repurchased on August 28 and 29, 2025, were awaiting cancellation as of the month's end.

Share option schemes saw minor movements, with 1,650 options under the Sharesave Plan 2023 and 1,032 options under the ISSOSNE lapsing. No new shares were issued from share options during the month. Prudential Plc confirmed it does not have an authorised share capital.
