BYD sees significant growth in august 2025 production and sales

BYD Company Limited reported a total production volume of 353,090 units and a sales volume of 373,626 units for August 2025. This represents a 21.04% year-on-year increase in production and a 23.00% year-on-year increase in sales. New energy vehicles (NEVs) were a significant contributor, with NEV sales reaching 373,626 units, up 23.00% from August 2024.

Passenger NEVs showed strong performance, with 371,501 units sold in August 2025, marking a 21.86% year-on-year increase. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) within the passenger NEV segment saw a 39.44% year-on-year sales increase, totaling 199,585 units. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) also contributed with 171,916 units sold, an 8.43% year-on-year increase.

Commercial vehicle sales increased by 294.51% year-on-year to 2,125 units. The company also reported an export volume of 80,813 NEV units for August 2025. The installed capacity of NEV power battery and energy storage battery for the month was approximately 23.175 GWh, with a cumulative installed capacity of approximately 180.051 GWh for the year 2025.
