ICBC announces senior executive vice president and company secretary resignation

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (ICBC) has confirmed the resignation of Mr. Duan Hongtao from his roles as senior executive vice president, board secretary, and company secretary. The resignation, submitted to the bank on August 29, 2025, is effective immediately and is attributed to a change in Mr. Duan's position. Mr. Duan is slated to assume the role of deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the bank from June 2025.

The bank's board of directors expressed gratitude for Mr. Duan Hongtao’s contributions during his tenure. Mr. Duan confirmed that there are no disagreements with the board of directors and no other matters relating to his resignation that need to be brought to the attention of shareholders or creditors. The handover process has been completed in accordance with regulatory requirements.

As of the announcement date, ICBC's board of directors includes Mr. Liao Lin, Mr. Liu Jun, and Mr. Wang Jingwu as executive directors; Mr. Lu Yongzhen, Ms. Cao Liqun, Mr. Dong Yang, and Ms. Zhong Mantao as non-executive directors; and Mr. Norman Chan Tak Lam, Mr. Herbert Walter, Mr. Murray Horn, Mr. Chen Guanting, and Mr. Li Weiping as independent non-executive directors.
