Bairong Inc. reports strong revenue, profit growth in first half 2025

Bairong Inc. announced a 22% increase in total revenue, reaching RMB1,611,797 thousand for the six months ended June 30, 2025, up from RMB1,321,348 thousand in the prior year. This growth was fueled by a 19% rise in MaaS revenue to RMB501,941 thousand and a 45% surge in BaaS – Financial Scenario revenue to RMB856,957 thousand. Despite challenging economic conditions, the company reported a 41% increase in profit for the period, totaling RMB201,224 thousand compared to RMB142,833 thousand in 2024.

Non-IFRS profit for the period also grew by 29% to RMB254,449 thousand, with a healthy non-IFRS profit margin of 16%. Research and development expenses increased by 33% to RMB301,542 thousand, reflecting significant investments in AI. Sales and marketing expenses rose by 20% to RMB606,276 thousand, attributed to efforts in improving conversion efficiency and enhancing brand recognition.

The company's strategic focus on AI R&D and commercialization, particularly with its enterprise-grade agent platform CybotStar, has allowed it to extend its growth momentum and maintain profitability. The BaaS - Insurance Scenario, however, saw a 19% decrease in revenue to RMB252,899 thousand, though total premiums increased by 9%.
