Chengdu Expressway reports slight revenue rise as profit dips in first half 2025

For the six months ended June 30, 2025, Chengdu Expressway Co., Ltd. reported total revenue of RMB1.41bn, a 0.5% increase compared to the same period in 2024. The expressway segment contributed RMB772.65m to revenue, up 2.0% year-on-year, while the energy segment’s revenue decreased by 1.2% to RMB644.31m. Toll income slightly decreased by 0.7% to RMB675.76m, with daily weighted average traffic volume on expressways also down by 0.9% to 207,541 vehicles.

Net profit attributable to shareholders, however, saw a 9.9% decrease, totaling RMB262.44m, with basic earnings per share at RMB0.16. The Group's total assets increased by 5.4% from the end of 2024, reaching RMB9.53bn. The gearing ratio was 40.4% as of June 30, 2025.

Significant events included the signing of civil construction contracts for the Chengwenqiong Expressway Expansion Construction Project and the appointment of Mr. Ding Dapan as the new general manager in January 2025. The company also distributed a final dividend of RMB0.101 per share for the year ended December 31, 2024.
