China Coal Energy reports mixed July operational results

China Coal Energy Company Limited reported commercial coal production fell 8.7% year-on-year to 1,105 ten thousand tonnes in July 2025, while sales dropped 9.6% to 2,117 ten thousand tonnes.

Coal chemical operations experienced sharp declines, with polyethylene production down 51.5% and polypropylene falling 46.8%.

However, urea production surged 23.2% to 18.6 ten thousand tonnes, while methanol production increased 13.4%. Sales of self-produced commercial coal also rose 3.9%.
