Prudential buys back £2.9m of shares

Prudential Plc repurchased 301,378 ordinary shares on August 12 at an average price of £9.78 per share, spending approximately £2.9 million.

The shares will be cancelled, reducing outstanding shares to 2.58 billion. The buyback is part of the insurer's ongoing capital management program.
