China Shenhua Energy reports mixed July operational performance

China Shenhua Energy reported a 6.5% year-on-year increase in commercial coal production for July 2025, reaching 29.3 million tonnes, while coal sales fell 5.5% to 37.8 million tonnes.

Transportation performance was mixed, with self-owned railway turnover up 8.2% and Huanghua Port loading volume rising 16.2%, but shipping volume down 3.6%.

Power generation climbed 6.3% to 21.95 billion kWh. The company noted that its February 2025 acquisition of Hangjin Energy led to restatements of prior period data.
