Yum China reports 2% revenue rise to $5.8bn

Yum China Holdings reported 2% revenue growth to $5.8 billion for the first half of 2025, driven by 3% higher system sales. Operating profit jumped 10% to $703 million, with restaurant margins expanding 80 basis points to 17.4%.

The company opened 583 net new stores, bringing its total to 16,978. Yum China returned $536 million to shareholders through $356 million in share repurchases and $180 million in dividends.
