Prudential buys back £3m of shares under buyback programme

Prudential Plc repurchased 315,199 shares on August 8 on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging from £9.528 to £9.648 per share, totaling £3.03m.

The company cancelled 316,341 ordinary shares at a volume-weighted average price of £9.6494, reducing issued shares from 2.58bn to 2.58bn.

Under its buyback mandate granted in May, Prudential is authorized to repurchase up to 262.7m shares, with 28.4m shares bought back to date.
