Prudential repurchases 319,614 shares at average £9.43

Prudential Plc repurchased 319,614 ordinary shares on August 1 at an average price of £9.4346, with prices ranging from £9.3380 to £9.6300. The shares were bought through Merrill Lynch International on the London Stock Exchange and will be cancelled.

Following the transaction, Prudential will have 2,577,410,229 ordinary shares in issue. The company has now repurchased 26,849,113 shares under its current mandate, representing 1.03% of issued shares.
