China Coal Energy reports sharp production declines in June

China Coal Energy Company Limited reported significant production declines across key segments in June 2025.

Commercial coal production fell 4.9% year-on-year to 1,104 ten thousand tonnes, while sales dropped 11.2% to 2,165 ten thousand tonnes.

Chemical production saw steeper declines, with polyethylene output down 36.1% to 3.9 ten thousand tonnes and polypropylene falling 44.6% to 3.1 ten thousand tonnes. Urea production decreased 16.1% to 15.1 ten thousand tonnes and methanol output dropped 27.3% to 13.3 ten thousand tonnes.

Coal mining equipment production value also declined 6.0% to RMB7.8 million.
