BYD June production and sales surge, driven by NEVs

BYD Company Limited today announced a significant increase in production and sales for June 2025. NEV production reached 345,066 units, a 30.94% increase compared to June 2024. Sales also saw a substantial rise, with 382,585 NEVs sold, marking a 33.04% year-on-year increase. Passenger vehicle production hit 340,570 units, up 29.33% from the previous year. Breaking down the passenger vehicle segment, battery electric vehicle production stood at 189,079 units, a 40.86% increase, while plug-in hybrid electric vehicle production reached 151,491 units, up 19.93%. Total cumulative NEV production for the year-to-date reached 2,137,033 units, and cumulative sales amounted to 2,145,954 units. Overseas sales volume of New Energy Vehicles reached 90,049 units for the month. The installed capacity of NEV power battery and energy storage battery for June 2025 was approximately 27.019 GWh, with a cumulative installed capacity for the year reaching 134.526 GWh.
