Bank of China announces director retirements, CIO resignation

Bank of China (HKEX:3988) announced the retirements of Mr. Zhang Jiangang and Mr. Chui Sai Peng Jose as directors, as well as the resignation of Ms. Meng Qian as Chief Information Officer, effective June 30, 2025. Mr. Zhang Jiangang, a Non-executive Director, also served on the Strategic Development and Audit Committees. Mr. Chui Sai Peng Jose, an Independent Non-executive Director, chaired the Personnel and Remuneration Committee and was a member of several other committees. Ms. Meng Qian's resignation is attributed to age. The board expressed gratitude for their contributions during their tenure. Following these changes, Bank of China’s Board consists of Ge Haijiao (Chairman), Zhang Hui (Vice Chairman and President), Liu Jin (Executive Director), and various non-executive and independent non-executive directors including Zhang Yong, Huang Binghua, and Martin Cheung Kong Liao. The board committees are undergoing adjustments to reflect the changes in membership.
