Weihai Bank completes issuance of perpetual capital bonds

Weihai Bank announced the completion of its issuance of "2025 Perpetual Capital Bonds of Weihai Bank Co., Ltd." on June 26, 2025. The total size of the bond issuance is RMB2 billion. The bonds carry a coupon rate of 2.4% for the initial five years, after which the rate will be adjusted every five years. The issuer retains a conditional redemption right exercisable on each interest payment date from the fifth year onward. According to Weihai Bank, the proceeds from the bond issuance will be used to replenish the bank's tier-one capital.
