Prudential plc executes share buyback program on London Exchange

Prudential plc (HKEX:2378) announced today the purchase of 500,000 of its ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange through Barclays Capital Securities Limited. The shares, acquired on June 16, 2025, were bought at an average price of GBP 9.0351. The highest price paid per share was GBP 9.0720 and the lowest was GBP 8.9600. The buyback was conducted in accordance with shareholder authority granted at the company's 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM). Following the transaction, Prudential intends to cancel the purchased shares, bringing the total number of shares in issue to 2,591,010,355. The company noted the total number of voting rights will be 2,591,010,355, which can be used as a denominator to determine if shareholders must notify their interests.
