China Energy Engineering wins Sulong project bid

China Energy Engineering Corporation (HKEX:3996) announced that a consortium of its subsidiaries has won the bid for the EPC general contracting project for the Jiangyin Sulong 2x660MW Phase IV Expansion Project. The winning consortium includes China Energy Engineering Group Jiangsu Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., China Energy Engineering Group Jiangsu No. 3 Electric Power Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., and China Energy Engineering Group Anhui No. 2 Electric Power Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. The total bid amount is approximately RMB5,005.08 million. The project encompasses the construction of two 660MW ultra-supercritical, double reheat coal-fired power generation units, alongside the installation of flue gas desulphurization and denitrification equipment. The anticipated construction timeline is approximately 22 months. The announcement serves as a voluntary disclosure, with the company advising investors to exercise caution due to the absence of a formal contract and ongoing uncertainty.
