Dongfang Electric: Proposed director change at general meeting

Dongfang Electric Corporation Limited (HKEX:1072) announced a proposed change of directors to be voted on at its 2024 annual general meeting, according to a circular dated June 4, 2025. The board received a resolution regarding the recommendation of Mr. Luo Qianyi ("Mr. Luo") as a non-independent director. There is also a resolution in relation to the resignation of current director Mr. Yu Peigen from the company. The controlling shareholder of Dongfang Electric Corp, Dongfang Electric Corporation, set the date for this resignation as June 13, 2025. The board will propose an ordinary resolution to consider and approve both the removal of Mr. Yu Peigen and the appointment of Mr. Luo as a director. Mr. Luo currently serves as the chairman and secretary of the Party group of Dongfang Electric Corporation.
