BOC Aviation to purchase and lease nine Airbus A320NEO

BOC Aviation (HKEX:2588) announced a discloseable transaction involving the purchase of nine Airbus A320NEO aircraft and their subsequent long-term lease to Aerovías del Continente Americano S.A. Avianca. The agreement, finalized on June 4, 2025, involves BOC Aviation purchasing the aircraft from Airbus S.A.S., with deliveries scheduled for 2027. The leasing arrangements with Avianca may include up to six finance leases. BOC Aviation's total portfolio now includes 829 owned, managed and on-order aircraft and engines as of March 31, 2025. The company states the transaction is a Qualified Aircraft Leasing Activity. While certain percentage ratios exceed 5%, the company believes it is exempt from certain announcement and approval requirements under Listing Rule 14.33C.
