AIA Group (HKEX:1299) reports share movement in May 2025

AIA Group (HKEX: 01299) reported a decrease in its issued share capital for the month of May 2025. According to the monthly return, the number of issued shares decreased by 65,202,489, resulting in a total of 10,629,383,913 shares outstanding at the end of the month. This decrease is mainly attributed to the repurchase and cancellation of 67,080,400 ordinary shares, offset by an increase of 1,877,911 shares from share option exercises. Total funds raised from share option exercises during the month amounted to HKD 49,059,529.23. The company confirmed all relevant regulatory requirements were met in relation to these share movements. There was no movement in treasury shares.
