Prudential Plc executes share buyback program on London Exchange

Prudential Plc (HKEX:2378) announced that it purchased 700,000 of its own ordinary shares on June 3, 2025, through Barclays Capital Securities Limited. The shares were acquired on the London Stock Exchange at prices ranging from GBP8.3920 to GBP8.5800, with an average price of GBP8.5103. The buyback was conducted under the authority granted by shareholders at the company’s 2025 Annual General Meeting and as part of an agreement with Barclays announced on December 5, 2024. Prudential intends to cancel the repurchased shares. Following this transaction, the total number of shares in issue will be 2,596,306,589, which is also the total number of voting rights in the company.
