Xinyi Energy plans PRC listing via solar farm REIT

Xinyi Energy Holdings Limited (HKEX:3868) and its holding company, Xinyi Solar Holdings Limited (HKEX:00968), have jointly announced the submission of application materials to the NDRC for a proposed listing of selected solar farm projects in the People's Republic of China. The listing will be facilitated through a Solar Farm Infrastructure REIT, with underlying assets comprising solar farm projects currently owned and operated by Xinyi Energy. The selected solar farm projects will be sold to the Solar Farm Infrastructure REIT for the purpose of the listing. The companies emphasized that the Proposed PRC Listing is subject to regulatory approvals in both Hong Kong and the PRC, as well as market conditions. Xinyi Energy and Xinyi Solar will comply with all applicable Hong Kong and PRC regulations in pursuing the establishment of the Solar Farm Infrastructure REIT.
