Prudential plc executes share buyback on London Stock Exchange

Prudential plc (HKEX:2378) announced today that it has executed a share buyback program, purchasing 843,044 of its own ordinary shares on the London Stock Exchange through Barclays Capital Securities Limited. The shares, each with a nominal value of 5 pence, were bought back in accordance with shareholder authorization granted at the company's 2025 Annual General Meeting. The lowest price paid per share was GBP 8.3980, the highest was GBP 8.5000, and the average price paid was GBP 8.4548. Prudential intends to cancel the purchased shares. Following the transaction, the total number of shares in issue will be 2,598,056,198. The company noted that this number can be used by shareholders for determining notification requirements regarding their interest in the company under FCA rules.
