China Merchants Bank to convene 2024 AGM, revise articles

China Merchants Bank (HKEX:3968) announced it will convene its 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on June 25, 2025, to propose significant changes impacting the bank's strategic direction and corporate governance. Key proposals include a capital management plan for 2025-2029, election of a new Board of Directors, cancellation of the Board of Supervisors, and amendments to the Articles of Association. Shareholders will vote on these resolutions, including the election of shareholder, executive, and independent non-executive directors. The Bank’s executive leadership, including President Wang Liang, along with non-executive and independent directors, are listed. H Shareholders wanting to attend must register by June 17, 2025. The final 2024 dividend for H Shareholders will be paid to those registered by July 10, 2025.
